07/09/2010 - Kylie Lindsay has picked up her second WISPA World Tour title of the year. The world number 51 has taken out the North Coast Squash Open at Coffs Harbour in Australia. It is Lindsay's second tour title this year, and the third of her career. |
However, the top seed was made to work for her victory, with Australian Melody Francis proving a stiff challenge in the title decider. Lindsay looked to be on course to take out the final in straight games, after jumping out to a 2-love lead. However, second seeded Francis dug deep to win the third game 12-10 before Lindsay finally prevailed 11-8, 11-7, 10-12, 13-11.
It continues a good run of form for Lindsay, who finished runner-up to Australian Lisa Camilleri at June's South Australian Open before winning the NSC Series No 3 event in Kuala Lumpur a week later.
Lindsay now heads to Hong Kong for this week's Buler Challenge Cup, as she continues preparations for October's Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
