Squash New Zealand Strategic Plan
Squash New Zealand completed a Strategic Plan in early 2003. This plan encapsulates the broad direction, goals, values and driving ethics of the sport into the future.
In broad terms the planning of Squash New Zealand is developed around a simple model that proposes that there are 3 key things that we must achieve:
- Growth...through participation, improved facilities and development of people involved in the sport.
- Best Practice...in how we communicate, how we operate and in the relationships we develop.
- Performance...through developing our players, producing people who succeed and striving for International excellence
This model is expanded in the attached file (pdf), linked to our over riding goal, our values and illustrated in a simple manner using a Squash Court as the base.
This innovative and insightful planning model and format has not only won acholades and recognition within the sporting industry but has also been used by several National Sporting bodies as the base for their planning also...they say imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
