Coach Development Framework

Squash NZ are pleased to announce the new Strategic Coaching Plan, Athlete Pathway and Coach Development Framework. The plans have been developed by the National Coaching Director, Coaching Advisory Panel, National Coach, Sport and Recreation New Zealand and over 120 coaches from across the districts who contributed to the plans in a series of road shows nationwide to continually up skill themselves in their chosen area of coaching.

The framework is modular based and will be delivered regionally, giving districts flexibility in what is delivered to suit their needs. Please read the guiding notes for more details.

The framework modules and coach development materials and resources are already underway with the completion of the Get Started (Mod 1), the Online Get Started in Squash (Ext 1a) and Online Safety Concepts (Ext 1b). Under development after that will be the Small Nix community Mod 2 and 2a.

Click below to access the two online modules:

As development progresses contents of the modules will be posted on the Coaching Section of the Squash New Zealand Website.

Please note that this is an ongoing development process which will be put in place over the next few years, so please be patient as we look forward to a bright and exciting future in squash coaching.
