Coll and Landers-Murphy Claim Titles

New Zealand's top squash players have gate crashed the party at the Australia Day Challenge in Queensland.

Paul Coll and Amanda Landers-Murphy have claimed the titles, making the most of their trip across the Tasman.

Second seeded Coll defended his title with a superb performance against top seed Mike Corren.  The Australian veteran was playing his 69th PSA Tour final, but was upstaged by the young Kiwi who triumphed 12-10, 11-2, 11-3.  It was a superb result for Coll, who continued his record of never having been beaten in a PSA Tour final, as he claimed the third title of his career.

Meanwhile, Landers-Murphy was made to work hard to earn her title by fourth seed Liu Tsz-Ling from Hong Kong.  The two players traded blows for the opening two games to be all square at 1-all, before Landers-Murphy claimed the decisive third.  The second seeded Kiwi then proved too good in the fourth as she completed an 11-5, 8-11, 12-10, 11-5 victory.
