Kiwi Juniors Eyeing Australian Titles

Two of New Zealand's top junior squash players are eyeing up titles at this weekend's Australian Junior Open in Geelong.

Abbie Palmer is the player to beat in the under 17 girls event, after being named as top seed in the 32-strong draw. It's no real surprise given the Auckland representative's vast experience despite her tender years, having represented New Zealand at the World Junior Women's Squash Championships in both 2011 and 2013.

Palmer is the defending champion in the Under 17 girls event and faces Australian Rebecca Potter in the opening round tomorrow afternoon.Scott Galloway NZ U15 Champ 2011

Meanwhile, Wellington's Scott Galloway is the second seed in the under 19 boys event.  Galloway too is a proven performer on the international stage, having won a raft of age group titles in recent years including the under 15 Scottish Open in 2013.  He will face Victorian Liam Watts first up tomorrow.
