Kiwis surge in latest world rankings

Several New Zealand players have achieved career bests in the latest PSA and WSA world rankings to be published

Campbell Grayson remains New Zealand's top ranked male player at 42, but Martin Knight's two PSA tour titles in June have seen him surge five places to sit at 44 in the world.  Paul Coll has risen seven spots to occupy the number 79 position in the rankings - a new career best.  Also achieving career bests are Lance Beddoes at 136 (up 37 places), Ben Grindrod at 161 (up 46 places) and Chris van der Salm at 220 (up 31 places).Phil & Lance

Evergreen Kashif Shuja has also risen on the back of some impressive performances in the home PSA tournaments, up a whopping 65 places to 130 in the world.

In the women's WSA rankings, top New Zealand hope Joelle King is unchanged as the fourth ranked player in the world.  Megan Craig remains at 41, Kylie Lindsay moves up one place to 51, and Amanda Landers-Murphy slips 13 places to 59 after missing two recent tournaments with injury.

Many of New Zealand's prominent professionals travel to Melbourne shortly for the upcoming Victoria Open.  The men's and women's draws are out.
