Finals Day in Nelson

The National Secondary Schools Champs in Nelson are going largely to seeding, with the top teams in the finals.

The boys' final will be contested by perennial foes Tauranga Boys' High School (1) and Christchurch Boys' High School (2).  Tauranga progressed to the final by beating surprise semi-finalists Palmerston North Boys' High (who earlier beat Whangarei Boys' High) in convincing 5-0 fashion.  CBHS were made to work harder by Westlake Boys' High School, progressing 4-1 after some very close match-ups.

The girls' final will be played out between Epsom Girls' Grammar, who beat Te Puke 3-2, and Palmerston North Girls' High School who easily accounted for Whangarei 5-0.

The finals will be played from 11am on Sunday at Nelson Squash Club.
