Day four results from Namibia

All of the latest news and results from the World Junior Men's Championships in Windhoek, Namibia.

Day four of the World Junior Champs in Namibia got off to a good start, with Chapman Kutia picking up a comfortable 11-5 11-1 11-4 win over Swedish opponent Alexander Lundqvist.  This put him through to Round 2 of the consolation plate, where he came up against Yannik Omlor of Germany.  A tight match ensued, with Omlor picking up the crucial points where it counted to progress 11-7 15-13 11-6.  WJB team 2014

Max Trimble was also in action in the consolation plate, up against another Swede in Tor Chistofferson.  Christofferson was able to get up in the tightest of matches, winning 12-10 11-8 9-11 11-8 in 47 minutes.

Luke Jones was the final Kiwi to play on day four, up against Irish opponent Oisin Logan.  Like Trimble, Jones was able to take one game from his opponent in his defeat: 11-8 9-11 11-2 11-7 in 32 minutes.

All of the Kiwi boys have now been knocked out of the individual section of the World Championships, and will turn their focus to preparing with High Performance Coach Paul Hornsby for the teams event section of the Championships.
