New Zealand bests Namibia at World Juniors

New Zealand has beaten Namibia 3-0 overnight to continue its progress through the World Junior teams event draw.

After qualifying third in their pool, the New Zealanders progressed to contest places 13-24.  Today's victory over Namibia will ensure that New Zealand is in the mix for places 13-18.

Scott Galloway faced the toughest assignment of the Kiwi contingent, needing four sets to move past Michael Stephen van Lingen.  After sharing the first two sets, Galloway was convincing in the third and fourth to seal the match.NZ team at TTJ

Chapman Kutia then comfortably accounted for George Diederik Bekker, dropping just four points to seal the tie for the New Zealanders.  Max Trimble then won the dead rubber against Le-Hugo Van Rooyen to ensure a comfortable and confidence-boosting win for the Kiwis.

Next up for the team is Kuwait, who are also seeded in the 16-18 bracket.
