NZ team confirmed for World Champs

The NZ team has been confirmed for the Women's World Team Championships in Canada at the end of the year.

The four strong line-up is Megan Craig, Amanda Landers-Murphy, Kylie Lindsay and Rebecca Barnett.

Missing from the side is world number four Joelle King, who is still recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered at the New Zealand National Championships in August.2012 Amanda Landers-Murphy Most Improved Female

However, the team is still expected to perform well in her absence, with Craig, Landers-Murphy and Lindsay all ranked in the top 60 players in the world.

The trio have all picked up some good results on the WSA world tour this year, with Craig and Landers-Murphy winning one event each across the Tasman in 2014 while Lindsay was a finalist in South Africa.

Barnett has also been in good form on the local scene, earning her spot in the side after beating Palmerston North club mate Danielle Fourie in a best of three playoff this week.

The Women's World Team Squash Championships are in Niagara on the Lake, Canada, December 1-8.
