Paul Coll has taken out the IG Markets Open de Paris 2015 over the weekend. Coll started out the weekend unseeded but he showed everyone that this was not going to stop him from coming to claim the top prize.

Coll managed to take out 5th seed Jens Schoor from Germany in the first round 11/3, 14/16, 11/9, 11/5. This then saw him face the qualifier Abdullah Al Muzayen from Kuwait in the Quarter Finals. Abdullah had dispatched the first seed the previous day however Paul managed to take him out in 4 8/11, 11/4, 11/5, 12/10. Paul then went on to the Semis to take out the third seeded American Chris Gordon 4/11, 12/10, 11/1, 11/5 in a 58min battle. Coll said after the match "It was a slow start from myself, Chris was controlling the game well. The last two games however I felt good and managed to stay in front of him. I'm happy to reach the biggest final of my career so far and I am excited about the opportunity against Lucas tomorrow.

Paul then showed his skill taking out second seed Lucas Serme of France in a gruelling 72min battle to win 11/9, 11/9, 15/13. Paul impressed everyone throughout the week by his rigorous game and his patience in long rallies was "flawless". Great work Paul and we can't wait to see what you bring home to NZ next.
