NZ Junior Open DrawsNew Squash NZ Logo horizontal small

There will be a strong contingent of New Zealand and Australian players heading to Timaru Squash Club this weekend to compete in the NZ Junior Open 2015.

Luke Jones has secured the number 1 seeding in the Boys Open with fellow team mate from the 2014 World Junior Boys Scott Galloway taking the number 2 seeding. These two will be expected to meet in the final however there will be some stiff competition along the way with Jamie Oakley and Chapman Kutia taking 3rd and 4th seedings respectively.

The Girls Open sees Ellie Epke seeded first but there is expected to be some stiff competition from Lakeesha Rarere from Australia who just won the Under 19 Girls Division at the Australian Junior Open this weekend just been. Lakeesha is exected to face Abbie Palmer in the semis and Abbie will be looking to get a win over Lakeesha after losing out in the final at the Australian Junior Open. Juee Bhide takes up the number 4 seeding.

One of the Tournament Officials Carmen Chamberlain says "The squash will be amazing and I don't think I'm just saying that because I love squash," "It's a graded tournament and it caters for all abilities, but the top 16 players will all be better than anyone in the Timaru club."

It is also encouraging with this event being registered on the World Junior Circuit to see 11 Australian players attending this event, many of whom have just competed at the Australian Junior Open this past weekend.

We wish players good luck and hope for fair games. All tournament draws will be uploaded here for players to see.

Games start at midday Friday 10th April.
