Glen Carson Appointed WSF RefereeGlenn Carson photo 1

Glen Carson has now joined an elite group on the squash scene and he is now a World Squash Referee. After missing out last year Carson reapplied this year to reach the pinnacle of world refereeing.

He joins Australians Damien Green, Nathan Turnbull and Russell Weatherburn on this list as well as many others from around the world.

Glen has refereed many major tournaments including the 2011 and 2012 Australian Opens, 2013 Darwin International Doubles and the 2013 Hong Kong Open up to the quarter final stage.  He was in the refereeing team for the final of all NZ PSA events that he attended in 2013 and 2014 and has refereed the NZ National Championships men’s finals in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.  Glenn was appointed to the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and was on the Squash New Zealand Referee Management Panel 2012-2014.

This is a great achievement for Glen, with Jim O'Grady stating that "his refereeing ability speaks for itself". Glenn will be involved in a number of events throughout 2015 in particular he will be in attendance at the Palmerston North and Invercargill PSA events as well as the Senior Nationals in Christchurch.

We look forward to seeing Glen continue his great refereeing and representing us on the international stage.
