Squash Waikato Seeks New Manager

Serving the Waikato for 50 years, Squash Waikato has a strong presence in the region with a network of 25 affiliated clubs. The appointment of this Manager’s role is crucial to the ongoing success of our sporting body. 

The core focus of this role is to maximise the use of our squash infrastructure, increase the participation and performance of people playing squash within the Waikato, and meet the needs of our squash community.

It's all about providing a professional, friendly and helpful service to members, clubs and players and ensuring optimisation of our squash competitions. There's a wide range of functions in this hands-on role. You will report directly to the Chairman of our dedicated and engaged board, who are all passionate about the success of squash throughout our region. 

The scope of your role will see you accountable for stakeholder engagement including interactions with schools, clubs and representative programmes. You will ensure excellent event and competition management, and coordination and leadership of the Squash Waikato representative team's and programmes. 

You must have a proven track record in sports or related disciplines. We would love you to understand squash but it is not essential.  You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.  You will need to lead a small but dedicated team of part time staff and volunteers so will be known for a collaborative and consultative team leadership style.
