Finalists of Junior Inter-District Events Decided

Auckland will be competing for both the Boys and Girls titles in the Inter-District team event whilst the Bay of Plenty will compete for the Boys title and Northland have upset Canterbury to be in the Girls Final.  

In Pool A of the Boys top seeds Bay of Plenty made sure to secure a strong win over their Canterbury opponents after some very tense matches. The Bay won the tie 4/0 but Alex Revington and Tyler Ranger saw their games go to 5. The other Pool A game saw Central claim a 4/0 win over Eastern. 

In Pool B of the Boys top seeds Auckland had a shaky start with Max Trimble claiming a win for Waikato, however the Auckland boys bounced back and went on to win the next 3 matches and they get the chance to take the title home. Wellington also had a shaky start against Southland when Caleb Madden won his first match but they also came back and won the tie 3/1.

In Pool A of the Girls Top seeds Auckland kept their winning streak going with a 4/0 win over the Bay of Plenty. The other tie of Pool A saw Waikato take a strong win over Southland with a final score of 4/0.

In Pool B of the Girls 3rd seeds Northland came out firing and made sure they could have their chance to claim the title off Auckland. Northland eventually took the tie over Canterbury 4/0. Central and Eastern had the closest tie to date with a match score of 2/2, however Eastern managed to clinch more games and eventually took the win in games 9 to 6.
