CoachForce makes an impact

CoachForce has made a huge impact on the ability of the 1,000+ strong local squash coaches family to deliver the various programmes and events in 2015, with young people and adults taking part in more squash, further developing their skills and enjoying the game.coachforce_pos_med

Squash New Zealand has long recognised the important role that coaching plays in the delivery of quality programmes - from the army of volunteer parents teaching their children who are experiencing squash for the first time, to the coaches of our top players who regularly compete in national and international events.

Over the past 12 months the network of CoachForce Officers and Coach Learning Facilitators have worked tirelessly to upskill 298 individual coaches in 69 learning modules from the Coach Development Framework, and support many more on the courts through mentoring, providing resources and assisting with planning. This is an increase in activity compared to the previous 12 months - with 166 new coaches welcomed to the system.

The Regional District Associations are again looking forward to continuing this programme over the next 12 months. If coaches or clubs are interested in taking part in the formal and informal development and support opportunities that exist, please contact your District.

Keen to join the CoachForce?

Joining the CoachForce is a great way for an expert coach in any of the Coaching Communities to give back to squash and can also provide an additional income stream to a coach’s business.

Squash New Zealand is always looking for high-quality CoachForce and interested coaches should contact Squash New Zealand for more information.
