NZ Claims Junior Trans-Tasman Test Series 

New Zealand has claimed the Junior Trans-Tasman Test Series after defeating Australia in a close 10-8 on the final day of games. 

First on court again were the Under 13 Boys and Girls. Joe Smythe and Ruby Saies both stepped up to the plate, Saies looking to avenge her loss from the previous day she did it in spectacular fashion claiming the win in a mammoth five setter. Smythe however couldn't manage to scratch up a win going down in 3 to his Australian counterpart and starting the match scores off at 1-1. 

Next up was Leo Fatialofa who made short work of his opponent winning in 3, whilst Ariata Kutia had a great game against Jemma Besant but it wasn't enough with Kutia going down in 4 and the scores staying level at 2-2.

Winona-Jo and Kobe Fleming were next up for New Zealand and they were seeking to extend New Zealand's lead. Both players managed to take their games in 3 and spent 21mins on court each. New Zealand was leading 4-2 after this. 

Annaleise Faint had a strong game against Alex Haydon of Australia however it wasn't enough unfortunately with Faint going down in 3. Glenn Templeton remained cool in his game and claimed the win from Remi Young in 3 keeping New Zealand's lead over Australia 5-3.

After a mammoth game the day before Corbin Faint had a tough ask to back up again today, with some great work he couldn't manage to claim the win he seeked the day before going down in 4. Zoe Dykzeul however managed to show her strength on court and claimed another win for New Zealand in 3. Match scores remaining in New Zealand's favour at 6-4

Matthew Lucente took advantage of Corbin's big battle with his opponent the day before and made him work hard with Lucente pulling off the necessary shots to take the win in 3. Nadia Hubbard found it tough going at points throughout her game with the game score swinging back and forth, but after some big battles she took the match in a thrilling five setter and New Zealand took a strong lead 8-4. 

Next up Anna Hughes and Sam Sayes were both looking to round the tie out for New Zealand. Hughes showed her strength on court and took the win for New Zealand in 3 against Jordan Russell and got New Zealand to the halfway mark. Sayes battled in his game and played some great shots but this wasn't enough to get him over the line and he went down in 4 to Jon Van Der Kreek.

Kaitlyn Watts and Finn Trimble were next on court for New Zealand. Trimble after a great win the day before was unable to make it 2 in a row and went down in 4 to Joseph White. Watts came on court and knew what needed to be done, she didn't let the pressure get to her and she took out the win for New Zealand in a comfortable 3 and New Zealand claimed the Trans-Tasman title for the second year in a row. 

Rafa Yam and Alex Revington had nothing to lose in their games and they stepped on to court and played their hardest but unfortunately they both went down in 3 and 4 respectively.
