Joyce and Sayes Do Double at South Island Age GroupsResized South Island Age Groups Under 19 Girls

Natalie Sayes and Winona-Jo Joyce have claimed double titles down at the South Island Age Groups at SquashCity Invercargill.

Winona-Jo Joyce has claimed the coveted Under 19 Girls title beating Lauren Crowhurst in the final whilst she also won the Round Robin in the Under 17 Girls to claim this title as well. Natalie Sayes claimed both the Under 13 and Under 11 titles in 2015 and in 2016 she stepped up and claimed the Under 15 and Under 13 titles in the girls divisions. In the Under 11’s Gemma Thompson claimed the title here.

There were no double titles in the boys but the games were closely fought in all of these matches as well. Jayden Millar claimed the top prize taking out the Under 19 Boys title, whilst Caleb Madden of the Cromwell club was able to take out the first and second seeds to claim the top prizes in the Under 17 Boys. Glenn Templeton takes the Under 15 title back to the North Island having beaten Curtis Millard in the final whilst local player Jacob Dudley from the Makarewa club took out the Under 13’s title. Charlie Prince of Kaikoura rounded out the list of Boys winners taking the Under 11 title out.
