Ellie Epke and Tyler Ranger have claimed their respective Under 19 North Island Age Group Titles at the Geyser City Squash Club supported by Ti Street Squash Club.

Ellie Epke played Abbie Palmer in the final of the Girls Under 19 draw. Palmer and Epke have battled a number of times before and this was sure to be an exciting game between these two top players. Epke claimed the first 2 games but Palmer fought hard and managed to win the next 2 games sending this match to the fifth. It was Epke that was able to claim the match and the title in the fifth.

The Boys Under 19 final finished in a very different fashion with Tyler Ranger taking the title in a convincing win over Southerner Mitchell Kempton. Ranger claimed the match in three.

In the Girls Under 17 draw local favourite Nadia Hubbard had some close fought games with Palmerston North player Courtney Trail, but Hubbard was able to edge the match in four. The Boys Under 17 draw saw Gabe Yam take a convincing win over Temwa Chileshe claiming the match in three.

The Under 15 Girls saw Anika Jackson take out another Palmerston North player Annaleise Faint. Jackson claimed the match from Faint in three. The Boys Under 15 saw third seed Leo Fatialofa take the win from top seed Glenn Templeton in four with some great rallies between both players.

The Under 13 Girls saw Natalie Sayes add another trophy to her cabinet after having claimed the South Island Age Group titles. Sayes took the win from Sophie Hodges in three. The Under 13 Boys saw Joe Smythe and Mason Smales battle it out in each game but Smythe was just able to edge the win each time and he claimed the match in three.

The youngest age group titles (the Under 11’s) saw Ella Lash take the girls title beating Maia Smales in three, whilst in the boys local Northland players Freddie Jameson and Flynn Venmore battled it out, with Jameson claiming the Boys title.

Congratulations to the Geyser City Squash Club with support from Ti Street Squash Club for a great run event and hosting all of the players.
