Jamie Oakley gives us an update on the World Junior Mens third day on the ground and the opening ceremony.

Day 3: The earliest of starts on day 3 due to the courts being chocka block. In Ellie's own words she was "vibrating" after she lost an odds to skull 3 espresso shots at 7:30am. However other than the fact she was buzzing, the whole club was with anticipation of what is to come on day 4.

Today was our first hit on the glass court and an experience most of us enjoyed due to the fact it was the newest court and didn't have indentations in the front wall or random glass squares on the court. A few Scotty G bflick specials had Sam Sayes well accustomed to the Polish taxi service, taking him into the unknown on many occasions.

We then discovered a 500+ shopping mall and a spectacular Japanese delicacy where the boys and I notched up a (unknown at the time) monstrously big tab. Nothing new on the transportation side of things, just the 4 near misses today, it's fair to say they're driving me insane....

Day 3 saw the opening ceremony of the tournament with quite possibly the most interesting display of polish dancing I have seen in my life, delivered by 5 year old kids. Following this we ventured back to our local Pizza Pasta parlour, this time it was a rule was enforced of no pizza or cellphones, strictly yarns and watching Horndog dab, which considering it's the night before the world champs is fair enough. An early night is certainly on the cards with Scottie the first kiwi on tomorrow at 10am polish time (8pm NZT).
