New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships Draws

The 2017 New Zealand Secondary Schools has drawn 32 Teams to compete in the Boys draw and 19 teams to compete in the Girls draw with both Westlake Boys High School and Palmerston North Girls High seeded to claim the titles they took in 2016.

The Boys Draw sees strong competition from all teams and with Westlake looking to defend their title for the third year in a row. St Paul Collegiate A will be looking to make their way to the final and try to clinch the title after finishing runner-up in 2016. Local boys high school Palmerston North Boys High School take third seeding whilst Auckland Grammar A rounds out the top 4 with all teams set to put their best food forward to try and claim the title.

The Girls Draw will have local support for the top seeds with Palmerston North Girls High A seeded to claim the title for the third year in a row alongside Westlake. They will face strong competition from second seeds Te Puke High School should they reach the final. Napier High School takes third seeds in the event whilst newcomers James Hargest College from Invercargill are set to stamp their mark on this competition.

The event is run by Sport Manawatu with the use of the SquashGym Palmerston North and Fielding Squash Clubs. Full draws can be found below.
