2017 SuperChamps National Finals Set

The 2017 SuperChamps National Finals are set with teams training hard to try and claim some of the most coveted trophies in New Zealand as they battle for glory and pride of their club.

18 teams will be competing in Cromwell at the B Grades with 10 Men’s and 8 Women’s teams travelling to the Central Otago region. Both the Men’s and Women’s draws are topped by Auckland teams with Harcourts Eden Epsom seeded top in the men’s draw and Remuera seeded top in the Women’s draw. Cromwell last hosted the D Grades in 2015 so will be sure to show what they have to offer to the teams.

There will be 18 teams making their way to the big smoke of Auckland for the C Grades with 10 Men’s and 8 Women’s teams vying for the title. It’s the neighbouring regions to Auckland who claim the top spots in their draws with Hamilton seeded to take the Men’s title and Whangarei seeded to take the Women’s title. Royal Oak last hosted the F/J Grade SuperChamps in 2014.

16 teams will head to the centre of the North Island, Taupo where they will compete in the D Grade SuperChamps. Again it is the neighbouring regions who are set to take the title with Hawera from Central the top seeds in the Women’s draw and Lugton Park from Waikato seeded top in the Men’s draw. This is the first National Event in a while for Taupo so they will be sure to put a great show on when hosting one of the best weekends on the calendar.

There will also be 16 teams heading to the mighty Waikato to try and claim the E Grade titles. In the Women’s draw it is their Auckland neighbours Royal Oak who are seeded to claim the Women’s title whilst the capital city and club Tawa are set to take top honours if seedings prove to come true in the Men’s draw. Hamilton has a long history with hosting National Events having hosted the 2016 Junior Nationals and last hosting the 2012 D Grade SuperChamps.

In the F/J Grades event 8 Women’s and 5 Men’s teams will do battle at the Hawkes Bay Lawn Tennis Squash Club. With HBLTS having just had some of the best players in New Zealand with the Senior Teams event having matches played at their club they now welcome some of our newest players. The Hunterville men from Central are top of their pool whilst Auckland’s Manurewa Women claim top spot in their draw with both teams being eager to bring the trophies home.

Full draws and team lists can be found on the SuperChamps event page.
