Shelley Kitchen

DOB:
2nd December 1979, Kaitaia

Career Highlights:
2004 World Women’s Teams Bronze Medalist, 2006 Women’s World Doubles Champion, 2006 Commonwealth Games Silver (women’s doubles) and Bronze (singles) medallist, 2007 beating the former World Number One in both the Kuwait and Seoul Open Tournaments, 2007 Australian Open Champion, 2007 beating the World Number One Malaysia's Nicol David to make the quarterfinals of the World Open, 2007 the WISPA Most Improved Player of the Year, 2008 the Harrow Grenwich Open Champion, 2008 quarter-finalist of the British Open. 

Squash History:
Shelley turned professional at the age of 20 and has been playing on the WISPA international circuit ever since. To date Shelley has achieved a career high world ranking of 6 and is currently ranked 10. She is the current New Zealand Women’s Champion, making 2008 her fourth consecutive title. Shelley is sponsored by Harrow Asics and Squash New Zealand.

 


Kashif Shuja

DOB: 22nd of July 1979.

Career Highlights:
Teams Championships in 2005 and at the World Doubles in 2006. As a junior he represented Pakistan and in 1998 competed for Pakistan at the Commonwealth Games.

Squash History:
Lives in Auckland. Kashif won the New Zealand Senior Men’s Championship title in 2004, 2005 and 2007 and 2008. is  Kashif is currently ranked 41 in the world. He is sponsored by Black Knight, Ashaway, Thorndon, Lotto and Squash New Zealand. 

 


Louise Crome

DOB:
6th April 1978, Waihi

Career Highlights:
2004 World Women’s Teams Bronze Medalist, 2006 World Doubles silver medallist, 2006 Commonwealth Games Women’s Doubles representative.

Squash History:
Started playing squash seriously at 13 years of age and first represented New Zealand at the World Junior Girls Championships in 1994. In February 2006 Louise left work to play squash full-time and currently has bases in Amsterdam, and Auckland. Louise plays for the Remuera Rackets Club in Auckland. She has a current World ranking of 27. Louise is sponsored by Wilson and Squash New Zealand.

 


Jaclyn Hawkes

DOB:
3rd December 1982, Hong Kong

Career Highlights:
Represented New Zealand at the World Junior Championships in 1999 & 2001 and Bronze Medalist at the Senior Women’s Team Championships 2004. Winner 2005 South Australian Open

Squash History:
Jackie is currently based in the UK but calls Auckland home when she is back. Jackie, who has been playing on the WISPA international circuit this year, has a world ranking of 16. She is a tenacious player who can construct a good rally and be very accurate in putting away the last ball. Jackie is based at the Remuera Rackets Club and is sponsored by Wilson and Asics and Squash New Zealand.

 


Campbell Grayson

DOB:
4th March 1986, Auckland.

Career Highlights:
Represented New Zealand at the World Junior Men’s Championships in 2004, World Senior Men’s Championships 2005, Bronze Medalist World Doubles 2006, 4th placing at 2006 Commonwealth Games Men’s Doubles, 2008 semi-finalist in the Australian Open.

Squash History:
Campbell finished his junior career in the World's Top 10 and is now ranked 65 in the world. Campbell is a gutsy player who is always hard to beat and shows great potential for the future.  He is sponsored by Squash New Zealand, Wilson and Asics. 


Joelle King

DOB:
30th September 1988, Hamilton

Career Highlights:
Represented New Zealand at the 2003 & 2005 World Junior Championships and at only 17 years of age was selected in the 2006 New Zealand Senior Women’s Team. Joelle finsihed 2nd at the 2006 Scottish Junior Open, 3rd at the 2007 British Junior Open and 3rd at the World Junior Women's Championships at Hong Kong in 2007.

Squash History:
Joelle has played at three world championships. She has a current world ranking of 48. She is coached by the former World champion Carol Owens and is sponsored by Head Squash Rackets, ASAP Productions, TU MAI Indigenous Media Station, O'Shea's Law, Squash New Zealand, Icebreaker and Hamilton Squash Rackets Club.
