CoachForce facilitators upskill to help coaches

CoachForce Training Forum 2017

14 regional CoachForce facilitators from all around the country recently attended the first ever two-day forum where they received extra training in facilitation in a range of modules, as well as getting familiar with the art of coaching using a special new toolkit.

Squash New Zealand has long recognised the enormous contribution that coaches of all abilities make to the game. The last couple of years has seen steady growth in the delivery of coach development modules across the country. Not only does this increase the squash knowledge and coaching capability across the board, but it also ensures there are more coaches appropriately upskilled to support athletes at all levels.

Coaching & Development Director Luke Morriss said “if you want to help other players as much as you can then you need to be the best you can be. This means accessing as many of the learning opportunities from our coaching pathway so you can use this knowledge every day.”

With this advanced training now under their belts, the regional CoachForce network are ready to offer a range of modules throughout the country over the coming year. This will continue to help get more and better coaches, coaching more often and helping more people to play squash more successfully.

25 modules are currently available. To find out what modules exist and to sign up to take part click here.
