New Zealand squash professional, Paul Coll has risen to a new career-high world ranking this morning. The 26-year-old from Greymouth on the West Coast is the new world No.5 on the latest men’s PSA rankings for April.

Coll, the highest ranked Kiwi male since Ross Norman in 1993, claimed his biggest title to date after defeating Egypt’s Tarek Momen in the final of the Canary Wharf Squash Classic last month and as a result rose two places up the rankings. Egypt’s World Champion Ali Farag remains as men’s No.1,

In the women’s rankings Kiwi Joelle King has continued at No.5 in the world behind current top player Raneem El Welily (Egypt) and fellow Egyptians Nour El Sherbini and Nour El Tayeb and Frenchwoman Camille Serme.

Both Coll and King will now play in the DPD Open Platinum PSA event in Eindhoven, the Netherlands starting April 9.
