AD Long Cup DrawsNew Squash NZ Logo horizontal small

The AD Long Cup (formerly Masters Club Team Event) is all set for this weekend with a record number of 20 teams.

In Division 1 Hamilton boasts a team of 3 A grade men and a B2 man, they are seeded to take the event out. They will however have to get past the North Shore team who boasts 3 A graders (1 man and 2 women) along with 2 B graders (1 man and 1 woman). Devoy and Whakatane each have a team littered with B graders so are sure to make this a tough battle for them.

Division 2 will see Silverdale and Red Beach vying for the top spot here and  Division 3 should see Te Puke and Devoy up against it in the final.

With this unique event seeing Men and Women playing at any spot there are sure to be a number of interesting matches with the title being up for grabs for almost anyone.

Mount Maunganui has recently received a large funding application which has seen the following improvements been made to the club

  • New ceiling, insulation and lights on courts 1, 2 and 3
  • New glass doors have been fitted to courts 2 and 3
  • The showers have been upgraded
  • They have installed air conditioning and solar panels

There are a number of other improvements to be made but we are sure the Masters Club teams will enjoy these upgrades. Follow all the updates on the Mounts Facebook page here
