World Junior Girls Teams Champs CompletedSquash Netherlands

The World Juniors Girls Teams event is completed for 2015 with some stunning matches across all of the finals. The New Zealand team played Canada in the 5/6 playoff today.

First on court today was Ellie Epke who was up against Chloe Chemtob. Epke started out strong in the first game and worked hard to gain an early lead, however the Canadian player snuck the edge in the second and third to gain the lead. Epke fought hard in the fourth game and with some tense moments in the fourth when the game continued to go long it seemed as if Epke might clinch the win, however today was not her day and she went down in a hard fought four setter.

Juee Bhide was next on court against Madlen O'Connor. O'Connor looked comfortable in the first two games and took and early lead, but Bhide show she was determined to guts it out through anything and she came back in the third to take the match to a fourth set. This wasn't going to be another upset of the tournament for Bhide with her not being able to clinch the fourth game going down in a valiant four setter.

The New Zealand girls team placed a valiant sixth in the competition. Last time the girls travelled to Poland they gained a place of 8th so it is great to see the girls do so well.

Great work everyone and we are all proud of your achievements.
