Palmerston North Girls' High School and Westlake Boys high are the New Zealand secondary schools squash champions.

Palmerston North Girls' High School beat Whangarei 4-1 in the final at SquashGym Palmerston North on Sunday.

The No 1 seeds for the tournament, Girls' High went unbeaten through the tournament, knocking over Wairarapa College, Waikato Diocesan School in pool play, then beat Marlborough Girls' College in the semifinal.

In the final Courtney Trail, Annaleise Faint, Victoria Claridge and Ansley Koolen all won their matches, but Paige Stantiall lost hers.

In the boys competition Westlake Boys' High School beat Tauranga Boys' College 3-2 in the final. It was the deciding match between Alex Revington and Matthew Lucente which saw an epic three setter decide the winner of the Boys event for 2015.

There were 51 teams and a whopping 590 matches played.
