Coaches take advantage of National Coaching Conference

Coaching Conference 2017

22 coaches recently took part in the two-day National Coaching Conference at the Hamilton Squash & Tennis Club. The commitment to ongoing education is a key to the development of our game and the variety of topics covered over the weekend further equipped coaches with more knowledge around best practice of squash development.

Robbie Wyatt from Tauranga found the conference a great learning opportunity.

"The day was very informative I felt to High Performance Coaches as well as Club and School coaches. It doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been coaching you can always learn new things. I found the tactical awareness session an excellent refresher and enjoyed the fact the coaches that attended were willing to put their opinion out there which created healthy conversation on a number of topics."

Manu Yam from Auckland shared similar feelings and used the opportunity to interact with coaches from other regions.

"I enjoy the exchange of opinions, ideas and views which was the primary reason I went along. I picked up a couple of important tips I can use in my own coaching too. I also love the opportunity to foster camaraderie and positive rapport between fellow coaches."

Coaches are the inspiring face of the game, helping more people to play more squash and with greater success every day. On the back of the first-ever national CoachForce Forum, more opportunities are available for coaches to develop further than ever before. Find out more
