Catherine Logan-McLeod’s new position as Performance Operations Coordinator

Squash New Zealand Poipātū Aotearoa is thrilled to announce Catherine Logan-McLeod’s new position as Performance Operations Coordinator.

Yale University alumna Catherine Logan-McLeod is a former professional squash player and coach. Catherine played number one on the Yale team which went on to win three national championships. Catherine represented New Zealand internationally as a junior squash player and played on the Women’s International Squash Players tour after university. She won the US Squash NCAA Squash Player of the year in 2007.

Since her professional career, Catherine has been a coach at Apawamis Club in New York, the Director of Squash at St. Lukes School in Connecticut and a Quantity Surveyor at Beca, with admin and operations experience on complex projects.

In her new role as Performance Operations Coordinator, Catherine will be assisting National Performance Coach Jonathan Kemp in planning, organising and administering within the high performance sphere as well as supporting the national office with other logistics.

Kemp says Catherine’s energy and sincerity will be crucial in this new role.

“I’m really excited to have Catherine on board. Her skills are going to be invaluable to me and my plans to revitalise the End to End Pathway, and I am very much looking forward to working with her.”

“I am so excited to be back involved in a sport that I love”, says Catherine. “Squash has shaped who I am as a person through the role models I’ve had, the discipline I’ve learnt, the challenges and privileges I’ve encountered and the places I’ve travelled.”

“I am excited about the opportunity to pay back some of this experience and contribute positively to a sport that has given me so much.”

Catherine will begin her new role mid October.
