Canterbury and Auckland will battle it out in the Men's Inter-District Teams Event whilst Bay of Plenty and Central will fight for the Women's title.

The Women's Inter-District teams event saw top seeds Bay of Plenty and Central progress to the final after winning their pool play matches in comfortable style. The Bay of Plenty were top of their pool in the teams event and they showed they were not here to muck around beating the Northland team 4-0 in the morning and then repeating their work against Wellington in the afternoon with a 4-0 win. It was a similar situation in the other pool where Central moved quickly to claim a 4-0 win over the local Auckland team, they proceeded to continue with their dominance in the afternoon defeating the Waikato team 4-0. Central and Bay of Plenty will battle it out for the Women's title in what is sure to be a tough matchup between the teams.

In the first round of the Men's event top seeds Canterbury went up against Eastern and the team showed they were ready to take the title for the second year in a row winning 3-1. The fourth seeded Northland team managed to claim a 3-1 win in their battle with fifth seeds Wellington. The upset of the first round came when the seventh seeded Central team came out with conviction against second seeds Waikato and took away a win 3-1 and their spot in the semi finals. Third seeds Auckland kept their districts hopes of winning a title at home alive with a 3-1 win over the Bay of Plenty.

The Semi-Finals continued with excitement and whilst Central looked set to keep their title hopes alive it was not meant to be with them eventually going down 3-1. Northland and Canterbury battled it out throughout their matches and whilst the match was full of excitement from Finn Trimble's triple backhand cross court flick to some diving antics from Luke Jones they couldn't get across the line eventually going down 3-1. Canterbury will be looking to go two in a row for the Inter-District Men's title whilst Auckland will be looking to win on home ground.

Finals start at 1:30pm at Remuera Rackets Club.
