The 2016 New Zealand Senior Nationals Draws have been finalised and it is set to be a great weekend of squash at the Remuera Rackets Club.

In the Individuals Men's Open Evan Williams has had to unfortunately withdraw from the event, seeing a shift in seedings. Kashif Shuja joins the top 8 Men's Open players taking the 7th seed position. The Women's Draw sees Megan Craig and Amanda Landers-Murphy seeded 1st and 2nd respectively and set to battle it out in the final.

 Draws - Nationals 2016 - 18-8 12pm

In the teams event Canterbury will be looking to take the Men's title for the second year in a row after winning it at home in 2015. They are headlined by Chris Van Der Salm and Oliver Johnston who will be looking to keep the team strong at the top end. Waikato take the second seed in the Men's Open and will be looking to try and claim this title with Chris Lloyd and Zac Millar their top seeds. Auckland and Northland are seeded to face Waikato and Canterbury respectively in the Semi-Finals should they retain their seedings. Wellington, Bay of Plenty, Central and Eastern take the 5th to 8th seeds in the teams event and will be looking to upset the higher seeded teams.

In the Women's teams event the Bay of Plenty will be led by Amanda Landers-Murphy and Jo Shanks. Central take the second seed and with Danielle Fourie and previous international player Tamsyn Leevey they are sure to be looking to make this title theirs. Auckland is led by Ellie Epke who recently claimed 8th place at the World Junior Champs whilst Northland takes fourth seed and is led by Shelley Kitchen former World Ranked number 6 player. Wellington and Waikato take 5th and 6th seeds but are set to make a good show with Emma Millar and Rebecca Barnett in the Wellington team and Casey Owen and Anika Jackson leading the Waikato team.
